Who I am

My name is Kevin Brophy and for 35 years I ran a successful legal practice in the centre of Dublin. I have now pulled back and I am not practising as a day to day solicitor but I have a wealth of knowledge and experience and I want to make that knowledge and experience available to you. I know all about the legal system in Ireland and I know how it works and why in many cases it doesn’t work. I can help you. 

Much of my legal expertise and assistance will be free of charge so you have nothing to lose. If it is not free, it will be a lot less than a solicitor with an office and overheads is likely to charge.

If you are considering becoming involved in a legal action and you are worried about the process and what is involved, you can contact me and I can help you. This initial contact is free of charge. 

If you are involved in the legal system and you are having problems with your solicitor or with the legal process, you can contact me and I will let you have my views on whatever issue is troubling you. 

I have over 40 years of experience and I am more than happy to use this experience for your benefit. This initial contact is free of charge.

While I am not permitted to issue legal proceedings for you, or draft contracts or other similar documents, I can provide you with all the information you need to hopefully avoid legal proceedings or complicated legal agreements. Sometimes all you need is an experienced eye and plenty of common sense. I have both. 

I would suggest that what most people want is to resolve their concerns without seeing the inside of a courtroom. Many people believe, rightly or wrongly, that solicitors only want to see the inside of a courtroom.  

If you are considering changing solicitor, I have a panel of solicitors in all areas of the law and throughout the country and I can advise whether or not you need another solicitor and if you do, I can recommend how you go about changing your solicitor and keeping your costs down. I can also recommend particular solicitors you might consider instructing.

Do you really need a solicitor? I know from experience that there are many issues that can be resolved without becoming involved in a difficult, prolonged and expensive legal action. My particular areas of expertise are family law, human rights and litigation generally. I like to think that the most valuable asset I can offer is Common Sense.

How much will this cost?

Your initial contact with me and my initial assessment of your situation together my initial views will all be free of charge.

Once we have passed this initial stage, I will tell you what I can do for you and I will tell you how much my fee will be. It won’t change. Then it’s up to you. 

My overheads are very low indeed and that will always be reflected in any fee I ask you to pay.
